How your pet portrait commission works
From choosing your photographs to approving the final proposal, I'll guide you through each step of creating your pet portrait.

1. Tell me about your pet
Complete the commission enquiry form and tell me about your pet, your preferred size and anything you'd particularly like captured in the portrait. You can also upload your favourite photographs.

2. I'll review your photographs
I'll look through your photographs and, if I need anything else or think another image would work better, I'll let you know. We'll also confirm the size, medium, surface, delivery requirements and any other details.

3. I'll create your proposal
I'll put together a personalised commission proposal showing the agreed details, price and proposed completion date. Where appropriate, I'll also create a mock-up to show the proposed composition, size and colours.

4. We'll make sure you're happy
The aim is for you to feel confident about your portrait before I begin. You can ask questions or request reasonable changes to the proposal before work starts.

5. Secure your commission
Once you're happy with the proposal, a 20% non-refundable booking fee secures your place in my commission schedule. The booking fee is deducted from the final balance.

6. I create your portrait
I'll keep you updated with progress photographs at appropriate stages. Once your portrait is complete, I'll send you a final image for approval before it is carefully packaged for delivery. If you're local, I may be able to deliver it personally.
