Oh, the adventures we have with our furry companions! Our cat, a mischievous ball of fur named Maisie Jo, has been with us for many years, her little scowling face making us laugh even the dullest of days. Little did I know that his distinct personality would inspire a creative journey that led me to design a t-shirt that captures his unique charm.

Maisie is not your average feline. With her funny little curled up tail and wide posterior......yes! she does weigh more than maybe she should do! (but in our defence...she is a Maine Coon cross) She knows no bounds, and her endless chatter, and SHOUTING! makes hilarious times. Never one for chasing imaginary foes or actually using any unnecessary energy, she toodles around the house in her own time! It is her house after all! Maisie exudes a one-of-a-kind vibe that never fails to bring a smile to my face. It was these quirky traits that sparked an idea in my mind.
Cat-turing Maisies' Essence in Design
Some time ago I had sat down with a photo and a cup of coffee, and decided to draw her...to show those beautiful eyes! I wanted to create something that not only showcased her unique personality but also resonated with other cat lovers out there. It was this drawing that became the basis for the T-shirt design—a detailed close up of Maisie with all that fur and those green eyes.
The Making of a Meow-some Tee
Translating this drawing into a wearable piece of art was no easy feat, but it was a labor of love. I loaded it into photoshop and adjusted the image to bring out her eyes....reducing the surrounding fur to greyscale...it brought the design to life. The final product exceeded my expectations—a vibrant t-shirt that not only celebrated Maisie Jo but one I hope, also speaks to the hearts of cat enthusiasts everywhere.
